The DIY Dueling Tree Kit from Make It Ring Targets features 3/8" AR 500 Steel. The kit includes (6) 6" dueling tree paddles and (6) 1.5"x.25" wall heavy duty DOM tubes. Assembly is required, and this is a kit, not a complete dueling tree. Additional materials, welding, and fabricating capabilities will be necessary.
The manufacturer recommends fabricating a base and upright using 1.5" x .25" angle iron. It is crucial to ensure that the DOM pivot tubes are welded a minimum of 6" apart to allow for the removal of the paddles. The company is willing to customize the shape of the targets to meet the customer's specific requirements.
The targets are manufactured from new, high-quality AR500 steel plates produced in the USA. They are not painted, as the raw steel form is more practical for the intended use. The targets are precision-cut using a CNC high-definition plasma cutter, with the cutting process conducted underwater to minimize the heat-affected zone (HAZ). This process is comparable to laser cutting in terms of the resulting HAZ.

Important warnings: - Shooters and spectators should wear proper eye and hearing protection. - Minimum distances from steel targets to the shooter are 10 yards for pistols and 75 yards for rifles.
